Biography

Julia was born in 1849 at Siddington village in south Cirencester, to John and Eliza Colliver^[1].

Her sister Ann was witness at her 1876 wedding to Owen Orpet^[2]. Julia was Owen's second wife; they had five children together between 1877 and 1889. She was the mother who raised the younger children of Owen's first wife Mary. She was the only mother Albert Harold Orpet ever knew, and at his wedding, he listed her as his mother. Owen and Julia's last daughter, Mabel, died at just a few weeks of age.

Julia died in 1899, leaving Owen to raise their children, the youngest just 13.
