Biography

Sarah (Collins) Wareham was born in North Gorley, Hampshire, England.

Sarah was born around 1801 at North Gorley, Hampshire, England,^[1] daughter of William and Ann Collins. She was baptised at St Martin, Ibsley, Hampshire on April 4, 1803.^[2][3]

Sarah married Henry Wareham (abt.1796-1862) on April 16, 1821 at St Martin's Church in Ibsely.^[4]

Together they had the following children:

In the 1841 census Sarah (age 35) was in New Buildings, Ellingham, Ringwood, Hampshire, England.^[5]

In the 1851 census Sarah (age 50), At home, was the wife of Henry Wareham in Brook Cottage, 2, Ann Street, St Heliers, Jersey.^[6]

In the 1861 census J (age 60) was the wife of Henry Wareham, both paupers living at the Union Workhouse, Ashley, Ringwood, Hampshire, England.^[1]

They must have returned to Saint Helier the following year, as Henry died there on January 13, 1862.

Sarah died age 73 on January 15, 1874 at Saint Helier and was buried there two days later.^[7]
