Phoebe Elizabeth Coburn was born on 20 Sep 1797 in Sheffield, Sunbury, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Moses Henry Colborne (~1768 - ) and Hannah (Barker) Coburn (1771 - 1826).

Her siblings were:

1. Sarah E. (Coburn) Burpee (1795 - 1874)
2. Moses Coburn (1801 - 1882)

Phoebe (23) married Isaac Burpee (25) (born in Sheffield on 10 Dec 1794; died in Sheffield on 8 Apr 1870), son of Jeremiah Burpee and Elizabeth Stickney, on 19 Oct 1820 in Sheffield^[1]. Their children were:

1. Isaac Burpee (1825 - 1885)
2. Annie E. (Burpee) Wark (1828 - 1898)
3. George Egerton Ryerson Burpee (1834 - 1904)
4. John Peabody Coburn Burpee (~1838 - 1884)
