Biography
Mary was born about 1855. [1] Her father was John Close, farmer; and she lived at Greengate, Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire as of 1876.
On 20 September 1876 at Barrow St. George, she (21) married Thomas John Dean (22), a groom of 120 Cavendish St, son of John Dean, farmer. Witnessed by James Lamb and Margaret Close. [2]
Their eldest son John Thomas was born in Northamptonshire, England. The family then emigrated to New Zealand.
She passed away 30 December 1941 age 86 and is buried at Te Henui Cemetery, New Plymouth. She was a widow of last address 68 Buller Street. [3] [4]
