Thomas Pelham-Clinton, 3rd Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyme (1752-1795) was the son of Henry Pelham-Clinton, 2nd Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyme and Catherine Pelham. He married Lady Anna Maria Stanhope, daughter of William Stanhope, 2nd Earl of Harrington and Lady Caroline Fitzroy, on 2 May 1782.
A lifelong soldier, he was Aide-de-Camp to his cousin General Henry Clinton during the American Revolutionary War. He gained the rank of Major General in 1787 and succeeded his father as 3rd Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyme on 22 Feb 1794, shortly before his death on 18 May 1795.
