Colin was born in 1917. He was the son of John Chrystall and Annie Broadbelt.
When the 2nd World War broke out Colin enlisted, as did his brothers Donald and Bernard. He served in the Royal Airforce and was involved in the Battle of Britain in 1940.
Sadly his brother Donald was killed in a flying accident in the Pacific Islands in 1942.
Colin survived the War and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) and was Mentioned in Despatches (MiD).
He passed away in 1961 as the result of an accident at the age of 44, unmarried.
