Biography

"Margaret" is a bit of a mystery.

Even the data we think we know about her may not be the right person.

Does anyone know anything about CHRYSTAL families around Kippen in this timeframe?

Her family has been pieced together from daughter Amelia's death cert. saying her father was a James MILLAR, mother unknown, and a granddaughter saying Amelia's mother's name was Miss CHRYSTAL - maybe it was actually Miss Chrystal SOMEONE instead?

The forename of Margaret is conjecture based on the Scottish naming pattern from James and Amelia Henderson's children.

We do believe that her mtDNA haplogroup is T2e

Research notes

I note that family trees, particularly on MyHeritage, are copying and promulgating a death date for Margaret as 1839, Alyth, Perthshire. The source for this is unknown, as is whether this is surname Millar or Chrystal.
If anyone knows the actual source for this information and any proof it is THIS Margaret, I'd love to hear from them Henderson-2297 09:21, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
