Hassan Aubrey "Hason" Chick was born on 4 July 1905 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia ^[1], the son of Augustus Peter Chick and Rubina Craft Chick and the brother of William Walter (Crossley) Chick [half], Alfred John Thomas Chick [half], Blanche Beatrice Chick [half], Unnamed Infant 'Twin One' Chick [half], Unnamed Infant 'Twin Two' Chick [half], George Albert Chick [half], Unnamed Infant Chick [half], Ivy May (Chick) Simmons [half], Hazell Ruby (Chick) Vernon, Amy Isabella (Chick) Crosdale, Cyril Augustus Chick, Walter William Chick, Ernest Henry Chick, Stanley Clifford Chick, Frederick John Chick and Ellen Rubeana (Chick) Dixon.

Deceased was engaged at fencing with a man named Crawford, when a violent storm broke over them. They ran for shelter to a haystack, one on each side. When the storm had abated Crawford walked round the stack to his young mate, and found him dead. The deceased, a few years ago, had an accident with a detonator, when he had a portion of his hand blown off.
