Biography

Alfred Chater was born before27 Apr 1843 in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom, son of Joseph Cheater (<1815 - <1892) and Harriet Sells (1810 - 1893).[1] He was baptised on 27 Apr 1843 at St Mary's Apsley. Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England.[2]

His siblings were:

Alfred married Frances Agnes "Fanny" Figgett on 4 Jan 1875 at Marylebone, Middlesex, England.[3] The couple had 7 children; Katherine Frances, Margaret Harriet Emma, Ellen Evelyn, Alfred Ronald, Frances Irene, Fanny Victoria and Leonard Arthur. Sadly 4; Katherine. Frances, Fanny and Leonard died in infancy.

Alfred died in Sep 1912 in Isleworth, Middlesex, England aged ~69.[4]
