The Pawnee Chief, Thursday, January 31, 1963 Earl Cather, 67, Services Today
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 p.m. this afternoon for Harvey Earl Cather, 67, who passed away Monday, January 28, here.
Born March 25, 1895 in Seymour, Iowa, he married Sarah Anna Derruisseaux on February 29, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. They moved to Pawnee that year and have lived here since. He had lived here for some time before their marriage. He served as Custodian of the local Elementary School for several years.
A veteran of World War I, he enlisted here.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Anna of the home and four sons; Alvin Cather of England; Charles Cather of Pawnee; Roy Cather of El Paso, Texas, and Donald Cather of South America plus seven grandchildren.
Surviving also are four brothers; Von Cather of Kansas City; Bink and Carl Cather of Pawnee and Charlie Cather of guthrie.
