Intro

This personal category exists to keep track of, and hopefully, eventually connect, the relevant trees of those those involved in a cluster of DNA Matches.

We do not yet know which lines of the trees/people categorised here actually account for the reported DNA matches, but somewhere there are links.

It is suggested that to explore potential connections that you select any of those below and then select their compact tree view (first link under the WikiTree profile ID in the top right menu). For the End of Line (EOL) names of interest we are looking for DNA tested descendants, check the two sub categories listed below.

Please feel free to expand on any of the trees to see who may connect to whom.

Not all of the actual test takers are on WikiTree so full use of the DNA links has yet to be made.

If you are a descendant of any categorised in the DDW EOL (end of line) sub category, and have DNA tested, we would love to hear from you, even better, show on your profile what DNA testing you have undertaken, and enter your GEDMatch ID so that we can check for matches to help pinpoint the right bits of the right trees - or eliminate a branch from enquiries.

To make use of the wonderful WikiTree DNA links and connected trees, do please make sure that your profile settings include a Public Family Tree privacy setting.

Places that appear to be of particular interest, although connections have not yet been found are Hertfordshire, and Micheldever in Hampshire.

The DNA

The matches involved here come primarily from Ancestry predicted 2nd cousin matches between two sets of siblings (DDW (T496450)) and the cluster of Shared matches they both match, the closest belonging to the MADDAMS/MUNDAY families shown, again predicted 2nd and or 3rd cousins to both families.

Three of the shared matches share Charles Edwin MADDAMS and Mary Ann HUNT as their common ancestral couple, another descends from Charles' sister, pushing the common ancestral couple back to Frederick Joseph MADDAMS and Mary Ann MUNDAY's family.

With other, more distant, MUNDAY connections amongst the matches the working assumption is that MUNDAY is the significant connection, particularly as now we also have more distant matches to descendants of the above Mary Ann MUNDAY's sister Alice Jane TULL.
