Intro
The Dawe / Daw surname DNA project welcomes all descendants of Dawe or Daw families.
Male or female.
We are however particularly interested in direct male line descendants of each Dawe line, preferably two distant cousins from each line to confirm the DNA signature. Males are the only ones who can test yDNA, preferably to yDNA67 level for better precision in matching lineages.
The FamilyFinder test is autosomal DNA, the FamilyTreeDNA equivalent to the tests offered by Ancestry and MyHeritage. Any descendant of a Dawe / Daw family can take this test and is welcome to join the project, although only yDNA results are publicly available at FTDNA (controlled by your privacy settings).
Private to the project there is an activity feed which all members are welcome to post to.
