Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.
Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.
Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.
And of course, I'm here to help in any way Im able. Just ask!
Welcome Sharon! Yes - a wonderful gift from your relative.
You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. We are building one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to check for duplicates as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.
I am very new to genealogy but am very interested in my family history. Fortunately, in 1990, a family member gave my father research that he had compiled going back to early 1700s - and my father has recently shared it with me. Of course his research was all done in libraries and interviewing family members ... lucky that we have the internet so I plan to look at what he has done and hopefully add to it or learn more. What a great gift he has shared!
How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.
