Obituary

Marilyn Ruth Cardwell
Of Roseville passed away on Dec. 9, 2012. Born in Riverside, Calif. on September 15, 1935 to Ruth Irene (Moore) Cardwell and James Robert (Bob) Cardwell, she spent her early childhood in Palm Springs. She later moved to Vancouver, Wash., and graduated from Vancouver High School in 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd G. Larson, Jr. who was serving in the U.S. Army in El Paso, Texas and subsequently in Limestone, Maine. Upon discharge, the couple moved to Seattle where Lloyd finished his degree at the University of Washington and began a career in the aerospace industry, which took them to San Jose, Calif. Marilyn spent 17 years in the banking industry, retiring from Union Bank of California in 1990. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Retiring to Auburn, Calif., Marilyn began researching family history which developed into a passion for genealogy. She was very active at the Placer County Genealogical Society where she served on the Board of Directors and various other roles. Later, after moving to Roseville, she served as President and Treasurer of the Roseville Genealogical Society, and was an active member of the DAR Gold Trail chapter in Roseville, where she held roles such as treasurer, historian, and committee member. Marilyn and Lloyd loved cruise travel and visited many countries around the world in their retirement, and were married 51 years until his death in 2005.

Hi Marilyn, we have the actual graves for Peter Roth and his daughter Emma Roth in Weldon Spring, MO in the middle of our subdivision. There are two other headstones as well. I have Emma's death date as December 17, 1904. Peter's headstone is hard to read and is in German, in parts.
Marilyn,

Susannah Hite 1725 - Berks County, Pennsylvania (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hite-166, WikiTree, 2011), [on-line], Identifies Susannah Hite, b. abt 1725 in Berks County, PA, as a daughter of Johann Justus (Hite) Heydt and Anna M. (Merckle) Hite. One of the sources is your .ged file. I am curious about your source for authenticating this family connection because a 1979 booklet "German Origins of Jost Hite" does not list Susannah as one of Jost's children.
