Biography

Anna Campbell was born about 1717 in Scotland. Anna married John Montgomery (1695-1764) in 1736 ^[1] and, "it has been established (Archie M's PM 1975), that John Montgomerie (her husband) was the son of the merchant John Montgomerie (d 1708) in Campbelltown, where at the sale of a property in 1733 he is stated to be a merchant in Sthlm (Stockholm). Father John Montgomerie's father was also called John Montgomerie (d 1716) and was also a merchant in Campbelltown, and his son Adam Montgomerie had, according to Scottish source material, been active in Sthlm (Stockholm) in 1703."^[2] Anna died on July 18, 1772 in Stockholm, Sverige at aged 55.
