Effie married Archibald Samuel Thomas Braund in Loxton, South Australia on 31 December 1927.^[2] The following 'Approaching marriages' notice was published in the South Australian newspaper. The Register, on 21 December 1927: ^[3]

CAMERON— BRAUND. — The marriage of Effie May, second (laughter of Mrs. and the late John Cameron, of Pungonda, and Archie S. T., eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Braund, will be celebrated at the Church of England, Loxton, on Saturday, the 31st December, at 3 p.m.

Effie died in South Australia on 24 July 1977 at the age of 75 years.^[4]

Effie's remains were cremated at the Centennial Park Cemetery in Pasadena, South Australia on 27 July 1977 after a funeral service with the ashes being interred at the cemetery.^[5][6]
