Edith Eliza Butler, married name Howell, was born 6th November, 1859, the daughter of Thomas Butler and ?
Marriage. On 4th March 1878, she married Henry Arthur John Howell at Allandale, South Australia. Her brother Walter married on the same day.

BUTLER-TIBBLES.—On the 4th inst., at the Presbyterian Church, Allandale, by the Rev. F. Hocter, assisted by the Rev. W. Bussell, Walter, eldest son of Mr. Thomas Butler, of Allandale, to Sophia, eldest daughter of Mr. Joseph Tibbles, The Schank.

Burial. The remains of Edith Eliza Howell, late of Mount Gambier, were interred Section F, Grave 746, at Lake Terrace Cemetery, Mount Gambier, alongside her husband's grave, Henry having predeceased her in 1919, aged 70 years. [3]
