John Buchanan was born in Scotland.
John Buchanan was born on the 8th of March, 1688, in Baldernock, Stirlingshire, Scotland, [1]
He was christened in September 1693, in Campsie, Stirlingshire, Scotland, the son of Gilbert Buchanan and Margaret Govan.[2]
At 9, in 1697 his brother James Buchanan was born in Campsie, Stirlingshire, Scotland.[3]
