and the tentative ID of an eldest son Robert to the family to aid the naming pattern.
This latter id however is partially based on Robert's mother, although shown as Ann Stewart in the parish register might actually be Agnes. Place and date fit but no further information is currently available.
No marriage between an Ann Stewart and a James Buchanan is obvious in the Perthshire or Stirlingshire OPR index, nor any other children to a couple of these names that I've found.
