Daughter of Wallace Buchanan, Sr. and Fannie Winston.
She dedicated her life to Christ early in life and was a faithful member of First Congregational Church for over 40 years. She was educated in Birmingham City Schools and a graduate of Industrial High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Miles College in 1953. She continued her education at Livingston University, Tuskegee Institute, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Samford University where she was the recipient of a Master's Degree and AA certification. She united in holy matrimony to Glennon Fletcher Threatt Sr. in 1943[1] and to this union four children were born. After his death she met and married William Taylor "Papa" Hunter who preceded her in death. She was truly blessed to have two great loves in her life. She was a dedicated educator and touched the lives of many who always had words for "Mrs. Threatt" wherever and whenever they saw her. She was a member of Imperial Club Inc. She peacefully departed this life on July 18, 2005 and is now at rest with her Lord. [2]
