Note: Hannah Brown had a sister Mary Brown who married Jackson Smith and died in 1883. She may have married a second time by 1864 John Owen. No proof at this time.
Note: Hannah Hibbert had a sister Mary Hibbert who married William Smith and came to Utah. She died in 1923. Her husband died in 1915. Could not have been this Mary.
Note: James Hibbert lived until 1869 and must be the father mentioned in the second sentence.
Note from Hardman-1532 15:58, 29 May 2021 (UTC) Hannah Brown’s father Matthew Brown was still alive in 1864, he is the father mentioned and the letter is from Mary (Brown) Owen to Hannah (Brown) Hibbert.
