Biography

Marriage was of short duration, no children. Louise Witt was a kindergarten teacher and, in later life, the keeper of The A.C. Bridges Library, possibly the first lending library in Luling, TX. She was an avid family historian. She was the author of poems and published family documents. In old age "Cousin" Louise, as we knew her, was quite cantankerous but she always held a place in her heart for children. Dorothy (Huff) LaBarbera, 2014, Luling, TX.

In old age, already a resident of a retirement home, Louise underwent a hip replacement operation. At some point she became angry with a doctor and gave him a good, strong kick!
