She married Thomas Dunn on 5 July 1901 at the manse in Airdrie, officiated by D. W. Paterson with John Dunn and Janet Brand as witnesses.[2]
At the time of their marriage, Thomas was a plumber living at 74 Henderson Street in Coatbridge, and Mary was a laundry maid living at 14 Clark Street in Airdrie.[2] In 1911, the family was still living in Coatbridge.[3]
