Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As we always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

I can't figure out how we are related and it's driving me nuts! I'm Gedmatch T128742. Do you happen to know the ancestors for any of our common cousins? Thanks

Hi Janice -

I'm not nearly as familiar w/ the Featherston familiy as I'd like to be. I've got a Featherstone ancestor (Jane Featherstone) who was in Eastern Ontario, also - it seems like there could be come connection, but I don't know what yet, if any. I'm still looking for info on her father, G. M. Featherstone, but no luck so far.

I don't know anything of William A., but if I come across any info I'll let you know!

Cheers.

Janice -

Thank you for sending the Walsh information via 23andMe; but, as you had originally suggested, I have located a shared Plymouth Colony ancestor on WikiTree. Abraham Howland is my 6G-grandfather (twice) via his daughter Alice, and my 7G-grandfather (twice more) through his daughter Elizabeth.

I guess that would make us double 8th cousins and double 7th cousins once removed. Some unmerged profiles may break my family tree, but you may be able to trace my ancestry through my maternal aunt Phoebe. I wonder if we might have inherited that segment of chromosome 3 from Abraham Howland.

Hi Janice,

Thank you for making contributions to WikiTree.

When you enter a new profile (for example Unknown Caldwell), it is very helpful to add either a birth or death year, if possible. Here is information on estimating dates: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Estimated_dates

Have a great day, Sharon - WikiTree Ranger

Hey Janice,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

Questions? Ask via my profile page. Mags
