Biography
Neil "Jim" was born in 1916. He was the son of Sergeant James McKenzie Boyle (24331), MM, Otago Regiment (killed in action in Belgium, 12th October, 1917), and of Frances Coley, of Waverley, Wellington, New Zealand.
Three years after the death of his father, his mother married Alfred James Arbon on 29 June 1920.
During the 2nd World War Neil served with the Royal New Zealand Air Force, 12 Squadron for approximately 18 months before he left for England, serving in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
In the 1939 England and Wales Register he was recorded living at 79 Windermere Road, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England. Also in the household were Ellen Williamson (59 and domestic duties), Herbert J Barley (26 and a tool room turner) and one other.

He fought in the France and Germany (TBC) Campaigns. His Service Number was 903054.
He died on 8 February 1941 from injuries received in an aircraft accident[1]. He was 25 years of age.
Jim was buried at Cotgrave (All Saints) Churchyard Extension, Nottinghamshire, England[2]. Grave Reference: Centre Sec.
