Richard L. Boyd was born in 1829 in Meriwether Co., Georgia, United States, son of Joseph Boyd (1791–1877) and Jane McMillan (1801–1863)[1].
Richard (25) married Nancy Elizabeth Austin (15) (born on March 19, 1839 in Georgia) on January 10, 1855 in Carroll Co., GA.[2]
Richard died in 1870 in Georgia, aged 40. He was buried in Powell Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Villa Rica, Carroll County, Georgia.[1]
