George Frederic Stewart Bowles was born on 15 November 1877 in Hyde Park, London, England, United Kingdom, son of Thomas Gibson Bowles (1841–1922) and Jessica Evans-Gordon (1852–1887).
In 1891, George was living in household of Henry C E Malet, Sir (55) in Newton Tony in Amesbury registration district in Wiltshire. [1]
He was educated at Farnborough School, Hants. before entering the Royal Navy in 1891; resigned Commission, 1897 and went to Cambridge University where he graduated BA in 1901 and MA in 1905. He was admitted to the Inner Temple in 1898, and called to the Bar in 1901 whereupon he practiced in the Admiralty Court for a few years.[2]
He was the Member of Parliament for Norwood from 1906 to 1910.

He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Norwood from 1906 to 1910.[4]
George's marriage to Madeleine M Tobin was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1922 in the St. George Hanover Square district, London, England.[5]
George died about 1 January 1955 in Malta, aged about 77. He was buried in Saint Peters Churchyard, Boxted, Colchester Borough, Essex.[6]
