1903 On the 6th September John Pratt, in his 74th year died, after a prolonged illness, leaving a widow, two sons, and one daughter, Mr John Pratt was buried at Woodchester cemetery on Tuesday, the Rev. J. H. Trevorrow conducting the service at the grave in the presence of a large attendance. Mr. Pratt came to the state nearly fifty years ago from Northamptonshire, and settled at Hay Valley, where the family continued to reside for about seven years, then shifting to Spring field near Kanmantoo, where the family remained for fifteen years before finally taking residence at Woodchester some twenty-five years ago. Mr Pratt died at the residence of his youngest son, Mr. W. Pratt, of Strathalbyn.

On the. 28th December, 1917, at her daughter's residence Croydon, Ann Elizabeth, relict of the late John Pratt; of Woodchester, in her 84th year died. leaving a sorrowing son and daughter.

Mrs Ann Elizabeth Pratt was interred at the Hindmarsh Cemetery , Adelaide South Australia, section Lower I19, date of burial 29th December 1917.
