Mrs. Della McCorkle Buried Here Thursday Afternoon.

Funeral services were conducted here at two o’clock Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Della Bonnet McCorkle, 73, at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Floyd Chaffin, present pastor of the church and E. E. Dawson, a former pastor of the church, jointly officiating.

Mrs. McCorkle, the wife of Ref. J. R. McCorkle, was a member of the First Baptist church, and had been a resident of this county for 36 years. She was born in Mississippi in 1867.

Mr. McCorkle was county missionary for many years.

Survivors include three children by a previous marriage, Mrs. Ruby Robertson, Lamesa; Horace Fry, Coleman; and Mrs. Vivian Evans, Brownwood; her husband and five stepchildren, Ray B. McCorkle, San Angelo; Mr. Ed McCorkle, Coleman; Mrs. Lena Cox, Jacksonville; Mrs. Lee Lamb, Brownwood; and Miss Mary McCorkle, Dallas.

Pallbearers were W. N. McCulloch, Louis Newman, Bob Feathersten, George Pauley, Y. B. Johnson and T. D. Strickland.

J. E. Stevens Co. was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Flowers were handled by the T. E. L. class of the First Baptist church and granddaughters.
