Sir Thomas Bloodworth, baptised 13 Feb 1620, son of Edward Blidward (yeoman) of Heanor, Derbyshire. Thomas married Mary (Rogers), daughter of Walter Rogers and their children were: Elizabeth, Walter and John (all died without issue).[1][2]
Secondly, 6 Jan 1657, he married Mary (Butcher), widow of Henry Benn,[3] and their children were:
Anne Bludworth married Sir John Jones MP; then married Sir George Jeffreys, the infamous Lord Chief Justice, Judge Jeffreys[4]
His occupation was Turkey merchant engaged in the timber trade. He was Lord Mayor of London (Oct 1665-Oct 1666),[6] during the Great Fire of London[4] and the Plague. Knighted for services to the royalist cause 16 May 1660.
Sir Thomas died at Camden House, 12 May 1682. His will was probated on 10 Oct 1682.[7]
