Biography
Nora Bowman Blaylock was born 16 Jan 1895 to a male Blaylock and, (guessing), to a female née Bowman, birth registered at Longtown Registration District, Cumberland. Note the middle name Bowman. But this now seems likely, with the only male Blaylock=female Bowman marriage (reported in Free BMD) in 1842 at Carlisle, which would make her mother too old. Perhaps the Bowman name refers to a grandparent?
In the 1901 census Nora (age 6) was the daughter of Robert S Blaylock in Irton, Yorkshire, England.[1]
In the 1911 census Nora (age 16), at School, was the single daughter of Robert Scott Blaylock in Seamer, North Yorkshire, England.
