Confess I'm still confused as to whether Abraham is Bidgood or Turner, but on the balance of probablities, and common usage for children, Bidgood seems to be the preferred name

(Abraham's mother Mary is still living near the mill. Abraham looks to have been working with Joan's brother Isaac DAWE as miller at Newton) [2]
Immigrated
Letters from Sampson's brother, Hector, in Chilliwack enticed the Sampson Toop Family to leave England with the hope of a more prosperous future. Emma's father and two brothers joined the Sampsons when they moved to Chilliwack The voyage was rough... they were at sea for two months (the vessel on which they travelled sank on its return voyage to England with only one survivor, found after 50 years on a remote island)
I (LornaHen) have assumed that one of the brothers is Nicholas given a dtr was born in Canada and that the other was Isaac. Isaac's emigration details in 1900 fit this, but Nicholas' don't, the dtr being born c 1867, which is too early. However the Chilliwack book says Emma's brothers Richard and John, and I"ve no information on a John at all. Richard is presumed to be Nicholas Richard. They sailed from Plymouth to New York, the voyage across the Atlantic being very rough, and taking nearly 2 months. [3]

Hi Lorna... I'm hoping you can help the tree by updating this profile using a single surname to avoid using or in the profile name. When searching Wikitree, users will see variants in surname (unlike given names), so you might consider choosing a surname, changing the profile surname, and adding the alternate surname in the Other Last Name(s) field. Thanks kindly!
