• It is currently believed that there are sufficient records to establish that Hugh Bicket and Mary Tweedale are the parents of John Bicket (1780-1848) and other siblings. Recent yDNA testing at FTDNA and analysis at the Bicket Group of One-Name Studies have established that neither Hugh Bicket born in 1759 nor Hugh Bicket born in 1748 are suitable candidates for the husband of Mary Tweedale.
