Adolf Wilhelm Bergman was born in 1877 in Goteborg and arrived in Australia in the early 1900’s. His father, Otto Bergman was killed in a railway accident in Partille, Sweden, in 1884. Grandfather changed his name to Alfred Berg when he came to Australia. I would love to find relatives in Sweden, or anywhere else in the world. Australian convicts feature in my family history: Thomas Tabor (Taber); Ordery Appleyard;

My rule of thumb when I started was to search for an answer for five minutes, then reach out to my Greeters, and then resume searching.
