Harriet (Bennett) Cheverst was born in Meopham, Kent, England.

In 1851 Harriet was age 22 and was living a servant in the home of George Wells, an attorney, his wife and two children in Stepney, Middlesex, England.[1][2]

In 1861 Harriot was age 32 and living with her husband Hezekiah and their four children in Meopham, Kent, England. There was one servant in the home. Her husband was a salesman.[3]

In 1871 Harriett was age 42 and living with her husband Hezekiah Chenail and their five children in Meopham, Kent, England. Her husband was a salesman.[4][5]

In 1881 Harriett was age 52 and living with her husband Hezekiah Cheverst and all six of their children at Nevill Place, Meopham, Kent, England. Her husband was an agricultural laborer.[6][7]

Harriet's husband Hezekiah died in 1887 in Strood, Kent, England.[8]

In 1891 Harriet was age 65, widowed, and living with her two sons, Charley and Arthur, and two boarders in Meopham, Kent, England. her son Charley was a farm laborer and Arthur was a railway porter.[9][10]

In 1901 Harriet was age 72 and the head of household in Meopham, Kent, England. She had one boarder, James Weedon age 19, a nurseryman.[11]

In the 1911 census, Harriet (age 83) was the widowed mother-in-law of Henry Eley at 76 Avenue Road, Swindon, Swindon, Wiltshire, England.[12]

Harriett died at age 92 in 1920 in Swinton, Wiltshire, England. Her death was registered in the Dec Qtr of 1920 in the Swindon district, Wiltshire, England, where her son was living.[13]
