Kenneth Austin Bennett

MANSFIELD-Kenneth Austin Bennett, 75, of 1600 Crider Road died Wednesday morning, April 17, 1996, at Mifflin Care Center after a long illness.

He was born July 4, 1920, in Chaneysville, Pa., to Percy Albert and Rebecca Ann Robinett Bennett, and lived in the Mansfield area most of his life.

Mr. Bennett retired from the Westinghouse Corp. in 1974 after 31 years of service. He was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple.

He is survived by a daughter, Constance L. Robertson of Galveston, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Mary J. Bennett, and John and Larraine Bennett, all of Ontario; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grand-children; four sisters, Hilda Marie Ruby of Flintstone, Md., Eula Grave Beegle of Mercer, Pa., Dorothy Susan Beach of Mansfield and Temple Alverta Wolfhope of Johnsville; and a brother, Robert Royce Bennett of West Germany.

He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Evelyn Louise Potts Bennett, on May 1, 1991; and three brothers, Ralph Sylvester, Vernon and Hobert Eugene Bennett.

Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park by the Rev. Dale Adkins.
