Notes

Based on Haty’s birthdate it appears that either Evans or Elizabeth was previously married, but it isn’t clear which one of them. If it was Elizabeth, her surname given in the marriage record may be a married name and not her maiden name. It does seem more likely to be Elizabeth, since Haty doesn’t appear with Evans in 1850 and he would have only been 16 when Haty was born, while Elizabeth would have been 20.^[1][2]
