Biography

Beatrice was born on 5 January 1889 in New York City. New York, USA. She was the daughter of William Evarts Benjamin and Anne Engle (Rogers) Benjamin.[1]

In the 1900 census Beatrice (age 11) was living in New York City, New York, New York with her parents, younger brother Henry, and five servants. Her father is a publisher. [1]

In the 1910 census Beatrice (age 21) was living in Manhattan Ward 12, New York, New York with her parents and husband Alexander Pratt. [2]

In the 1920 census Beatrice (age 31) was living in Montecito, Santa Barbara, California with her husband, William Gibson, and her two Pratt children. [3]

After the divorce of her fourth husband, Frederick McEvoy, Beatrice went back to the name of Cartwright. She died in France [4] and was buried in New York. [5]
