Biography
Coll was born in 1823. Coll was the son of Ronald Bell and Margaret Maclergan.
Christening Date: 28 February 1823 - Kilchoman, Argyll and Bute, Scotland[1]
Coll married Janet Yuill, 10 June 1856, Singhamptom, Ontario, Canada. (Date from a Bell family Bible). Their son Andrew and daughter Margaret were born in Canada. They then emigrated to New Zealand, arriving into Port Chalmers on the "Aboukir" from Glasgow, 17 January 1864. (Date and ship name from daughter Margaret's 1941 obituary). 5 more children were born in New Zealand.
They settled in Southland, New Zealand.
He passed away in 1911 at the age of 88.
