Catherine Waters, daughter of William Waters and Catherine Begg, was born at Kirk, in the parish of Bower, on 18 January 1836. She was baptised in Bower on 24 March 1836.[1]
In 1841 William, his wife Catherine, and children Ellen, George and Catherine, were living with Angus Ron in Lynegar, in the parish of Watten, Caithness. Also living with them was Bell Dunnett. The exact connection of this group of people to each other is not known.[2]
