Descendant of Adam Ivey and Robert Rainwater.

Grady was born in 1940 to Grady Franklin Bedgood and Ruby Tanner. He had at least 2 siblings: Marjorie Sara and Gerald; and 1 half-sibling: Curtis Fred Holland.

He may have married about 1960 to Martha Fay Roundtree, daughter of Willie C Roundtree and Essie D Joiner. He was about 19 years old in 1960. They had at least 3 children together.

He remarried in 1991 to Isla Vea (Wood) Bain, daughter of Wilbern Lowery Bain and Rosa Vea Lee. He was about 50 years old.
