Isobel died about 16 Feb 1873 in Stonehaven, aged about 79.[2]
Her husband, William, started his working life as a forester living in the Links of Arduthie, now part of Stonehaven (Newtown), and rose to be a butler at Criggie by 1819. Upon his untimely passing in 1820, Isobel and the family likely needed to move to Stonehaven where she later worked as a seamstress[3], provision dealer,[4] shop keeper,[5] and laundress.[6]
