Biography

Matel was born in 1899. She was the daughter of George Batty and Sarah Booker.

She married Arnold Joseph Loach, of Tinwald, a builder, around 1917. Her older sister Ivy had married Arnold's older brother Thomas a couple of years previously.

She passed away in 1985, aged 85, and was buried at Ashburton Cemetery.
