Biography
William Alfred Battersby was born on 27 July 1873 in New Zealand, son of Barnabas Battersby (1834–1904) and Jemima Pope (about 1834–1913).[1]
William (35) married Elizabeth Taylor (30) (born on 9 July 1879 in Duntroon, North Otago, New Zealand; daughter of James Taylor and Janet (Don) Taylor) on 24 November 1909 in New Zealand.[2] They had at least two known children :
William died on 20 April 1951 in Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand, aged 77.[3] He was buried in Ōamaru Old Cemetery, Ōamaru, Waitaki District, Otago, New Zealand (plot: Block 203, Plot 27-28-29).[4]
William's estate passed probate in 1951 in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.[5]
