Biography

Andrew Barnfather was born in 1844 in Longtown, Cumberland, England ^[1], and was christened on 21 January 1844 in Arthuret, Cumberland. He was the son of Jane Barnfather and William Barnfather^[2].

The ship, Empress Eugenie set sail from Liverpool, England on 18 January 1858 with the BARNFATHER family among it's assisted passengers and arrived in Hobson's Bay, Colony of Victoria on 3 April 1858^[4][5].
