On 30 March 1851 Stephen Barber (41) Labourer in a Brewery, wife Elizabeth Barber (39) with children James Barber (17) Ag Labourer, William Barber (13) Ag Labourer, Henry Barber (11), Alfred Barber (9), Samuel Barber (7), John Barber (5) and Job Barber (3) lived in First St, Ilminster, Somerset, England. Stephen Barber (40), wife Elizabeth (39) with sons, William (16), Henry (13), Alfred (12), Samuel (8), John (5) and Job Barber (3), his brother Thomas Barber (34) with his wife Elizabeth (33) and children, Mary (14) Nursemaid, Henry (12), Sarah (10), Thirza (4) and Susan (2) emigrated from England on the vessel Apolline departing Plymouth on 15 July 1852 and arrived in Melbourne, Australia on 23 October 1852. During the voyage Thomas' wife Elizabeth gave birth to another child. [2]
