Biography

William was born in 1875
William Howard's mother died before he was 5. His father remarried, and he was raised (or helped raised) by his uncle and aunt: Seth Bales and Sarah Elizabeth (Myers) Bales.

He married Rosetta French, Nov 29, 1894. They had 2 children:

  1. Ida, b abt 1896
  2. Clarence, b abt 1899; m abt 1914 to Will McMillian (or McMillion or McMilliam). They had 2 children: Ruth & Arthur. He died abt 1919. They 2 children were living with her parents in 1920 & 1930. She m2 to a rascal, James Riley Willard after 1930. She was a preacher, but married several times.

In 1910 William and Rosa were living in Highland Township of Oregon County, Missouri. With them were their two children Ida (14) and Clarence (11)[1]

In the 1920 census Howard and wife Roseilla were living in Brandsville, Howell, Missouri with two grand children, Ruth R (age 5) and William A (age 3).[2]

In 1930 they were in Brandsville and their grand children Ruth (age 15) and Arthur (age 13) were still with them[3]

He died in 1947, age 71.
