Hi Denise! I was going to contact you about switching to Affiliate membership in the Magna Carta Project, since you're way overdue on reviewing the trail for Edmund Hawes. However, I saw you've recently been working on his ancestry. If you're interested in remaining a badged member and reviewing the trail for Edmund, please let me know & I can "re-set" your deadline (to give you another 6 months to meet that requirement). If you need help, the project now has a Project Coordinator/Mentor who could help. If you'd rather switch to Affiliate membership (which has no requirements; so, no deadline on developing a trail, and no Guardian duties-only badged members can be Gateway Guardians), just add the following sticker to your profile.

Cheers, Liz

Congratulations on making more than 100 contributions to WikiTree for the Month of May!

P.S. The profile for Edmund was recently updated and it looks like the only editing it would need is if an image or link for primary proof is found for the relationship to the next profile on the trail. Also, the Magna Carta Project co-manages the profile with the PGM Project, which takes precedence over the Magna Carta Project. You'll want to coordinate with that project before making any edits. (We co-manage many Gateway Ancestors' profiles with the PGM Project, which generally covers the Gateway and a generation or two of the Gateway's descendants, while the Magna Carta Project covers the Gateway's trail to a Surety Baron).

It also looks like David was working on a re-review of the trail. Please coordinate with him on how to proceed.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers, Liz

Hi Denise! I updated the Magna Carta Project section of Edmund Hawes's profile to note that you are the profile's Gateway Guardian. Here's the coding for a sticker that you can add to your profile (copy/paste from the e-mail version of this post). Feel free to change the display of your name to suit. Thanks!

Hello Denise

I read your message that you have decided that you want to become a badged member of the Magna Carta Project. In order to become a full member please choose a Gateway Ancestor from the project approved list. This is to meet membership requirement #1 which is to become a Gateway Guardian Gateway Guardians are responsible for the over all accuracy and quality of the Gateway Ancestor they are in charge of. Upon selecting a Gateway Ancestor and review by the project team you will be awarded your project badge.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Hi Denise

Thanks for your interest in joining the Magna Carta Project. In your note to Liz you indicated that you want to join as an affiliate. You also indicated an interest in a Gateway Ancestor that is on the project approved list. If you would be interested in being the Gateway Guardian for that ancestor you would want to join at the Badged Level. At the Affiliate level you would still be able to work on the same profile and MC trail in coordination with the project. The difference being that at the badged level you would concentrate on the trail between the Gateway and surety baron. As an affiliate you would be able to concentrate on your own connections at a pace that is more relaxed. As a badged member you would have more project support while affiliates primarily work alone.

To join as an affiliate simply paste the code found at the link here on your profile under the = Biography = heading. And then join us at the Google Magna Carta discussion board. When joining be sure to include your email address and WikiTree ID.

Question ? Feel free to contact me

Denise, You are now officially part of the Mayflower Project. Welcome. Please note that most of the Mayflower Passengers already have well developed biographies. Your first assignment will be to work backwards from yourself and enhance the biographies.
