Conrad Baker was an American attorney, military officer, and politician who served as state representative, 15th lieutenant governor, and the 15th governor of the U.S. state of Indiana from 1867 to 1873.
Conrad Baker was born on February 12, 1817 in Franklin, Pennsylvania, United States, son of Conrad Becker (1777–1818) and Mary Winter (1784–~1833).
Conrad died on April 28, 1885 in Evansville, Randolph, Indiana, United States, aged 68. He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.[3]

FamilySearch lists several children of both wives. Needs more research.
Youngest son, Thaddeus, died in 1956. His obit states that he was the youngest son and one of 13 children of the former governor. [4]
