Because their oldest known child, Richard Freeman, was 23 in 1870. Alfred Freeman and Mildred Bain may have married about 1846 in Kentucky.
In 1870, Alfred and Mildred Freeman lived in Richland Township, Monroe, Indiana, United States. They had four children in their home. [1] The children living in the Freeman home are:
Richard Freeman age 23
Eliza A. Freeman, age 22, who may be a daughter or daughter in law
In 1880 he and his wife, Mildred, are living in Crawfordsville, Indiana with their 16 y.o. son, William. Their married daughter, Henretta and her husband,John Norris and their three sons are also in the Freeman household. [2]
